3 The patient start screen is now organized by patient rather than by scan date. This also includes patient history overview. The patient start screen is now organized by patient rather than by scan date. This also includes patient history overview.

4 New Design The interface has been modernized in many ways, there is a preview of previous scans to identify case. The top navigation bar now has arrow buttons to symbolize the next step in the workflow. The interface has been modernized in many ways, there is a preview of previous scans to identify case. 5 Order form The delivery date is now on the home screen along with indication tab for crowns, veneers, temp crowns and removable partial dentures. Implant tab for abutment and screw retained crowns. Post and core, and implant planning for surgical guides. The layout of the Patient tab has been simplified and Delivery Date is now displayed here.  A new pop-up window makes it fast and easy to select existing patients or to set up new patients in the system.  The indication list has been simplified by removing materials into a separate selection.  Added support for Telescope.  Customized order forms need to be modified in order to see the new changes.  If the order form is not customized, the new features described above will appear  There is a new option to clear selected tooth indications or clear all indications, which also works with right mouse click. automatically.  All patients are now listed on the Patient page enabling quick selection. The list is automatically filtered when typing the first letter of first/lastname or Patient Id.  Patient first and last name are now auto capitalized when entered. 6 New indications for workflow

7 Multiple post and cores
Additional scans can now be added to the post and core scan page. This means that multiple scan posts can be scanned one-by-one in situations where the posts would collide if all were inserted at the same time. Additional scans can now be added to the post

8 What’s new in scanning Tip temperature monitoring
The scanner tip is automatically warmed to avoid condensation (fog) during scanning. The heating process is displayed on the scan page, informing you when the tip is sufficiently warm. It is recommended to attach the scan tip when you start the system rather than just before scanning. It is possible (but not recommended) to start scanning before heating is complete. 9 Automatic global resnap
You can now move the scanner to a different position and the scanner will automatically detect its location in the mouth for continued scanning. In earlier versions, users were required to mark the starting point on the screen. 10 Live bite registration
Bite scanning has been radically modified: When scanning the bite, the system now automatically snaps each of the jaws to form the bite as soon as the correct bite alignment is recognized. Alignment is now calculated and displayed in real time, which means that you don't have to wait until after scanning as was required with previous versions. You should keep scanning until both arches are aligned. 11 Insertion direction color map
Undercuts for the insertion direction are now color mapped with distance values, to display the magnitude of the undercut. This feature is available in the optimization tab show here in screen. 12 HD Photo The HD photo feature overlays razor sharp
photos on top of the 3D model, and opens a range of new possibilities for the dentist:  Capture of esthetics details for the lab  Set the margin line accurately  Discuss details with the patient By combining HD Photos with shade measurements, dentists can give labs valuable information that helps them create highly esthetic restorations. Capture: Local discolorations, abrasions, internal cracks, plastic fillings, plaque, etc. The HD photo feature overlays razor sharp photos on top of the 3D model, and opens a range of new possibilities for the dentist: Capture of esthetics details for the lab, Set the margin line accurately, Discuss details with the patient by combining HD Photos with shade measurements, dentists can give labs valuable information that helps them create highly esthetic restorations. 13 Shade Measurement The TRIOS® Color scanner can now automatically capture teeth shades as you scan (see requirements below*). The dentist can optionally evaluate and highlight shades at relevant areas on the teeth. The complete shade information is sent to the lab together with the impression, enabling the lab to highlight shades at other locations than those selected by the dentist. The shades are measured using Vita Classical and Vita 3D Master shade systems for optimal reference. 14 All TRIOS customers with the exception of 2 who have been contacted personally need an additional upgrade of their scanner through 3Shape. Scanner serial number will determine if the scanner needs to go to Poland or New Jersey for the upgrade. The costs associated with this feature include purchase of the TRIOS color calibration kit and complete shipment of the TRIOS scanner which you will be invoiced for once the upgrade is complete. Due to the customer volume a loaner scanner is not available during this time. The expected turn around time for the upgrade is projected at 3 weeks. This upgrade must be scheduled with 3Shape. If you are interested in scheduling the upgrade of your unit please send an directly to Attn: Brigit Deal with a time frame that will work well for your practice. A video on CAP Academy will be posted on proper shade capturing technique.
