Five million people live in Scotland. Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland. People speak English and Scottish English The money used is called the pound sterling.

5 Edinburgh Castle Edinburgh Castle— is a castle which is on the Castle Rock in the center of Edinburgh.

6 Glenfinnan Viaduct is a railway viaduсt which is   near the village Glenfinnan.
It has been used as a location in several films and television series, including  four films of the Harry Potter .

7 Loch Lomond Loch Lomond is considered the most beautiful lake. Lying on the Highland Boundary Fault, the loch is 24.5 miles (39 km) long, it is the largest freshwater loch in Scotland and has more than 30 islands.

8 Loch Ness It is a large, deep freshwater lake located in the Highlands Scotland. It is famous for its legendary monster "Nessie"

The national flower of Scotland is a thistle. The most famous inventions : the TV ( John Logie Baird, 1925), the telephone (Alexander Graham Bell, 1876)

13 The most things which are associated with Scotland weren’t created there. For example, the kilt was invented in Ireland, the bagpipe was invented in Central Asia.
