Students may arrive to the classroom between 7:30 am – 7:50 pm
Students will complete morning work during this time which is expected to be done by 8:00
The Daily Folder (yellow) will be checked first thing in the morning for important notes, money, and homework.

11. Homework Warm Regards, The 1st grade team
Dear Parents
After much research this summer, we are trying something new. Research has been unable to prove that homework improves student performance. Rather than assigning traditional homework, we ask that you spend your evenings doing things that are proven to correlate with student success. Eat dinner as a family, read together, play outside and get your child to bed early!

14. Dismissal
Please make sure you have told me how your child gets home each afternoon before you leave today.
Bus Riders will be put on their bus by the teacher
A note must be sent in the morning in order for a child to go home with a friend or neighbor
If you pick your child up early, they will meet you in the office

15. Grading Student work will be marked in the following manner:
E : Exceeds expectations
M : Meets expectations
P : Progressing towards expectations
B : Performing below expectations
Please review the work sent home in the Daily
Folders. Formal and informal assessments will be
used to determine report card grades.
