Marking Forum Posts
There are 2 ways of marking forum postings that you have read.
Individually marking on each posting OR
Automatically marking on all posts at the front of the forum title
Difference between the options
Individually marking on each posting: if you fail to click the ‘Mark Read’ link, you will keep seeing the unread posts even though you have viewed them.
Automatically marking on all posts : “Unread” indicator will automatically disappear after clicking the “check-mark” icon.

2. Type your content of discussion here
3. To attach a file either ‘drag and drop’ the files from your desktop or click "Add" and the following File picker screen will appear. See “Manually upload a file”.
Please take note that the “drag and drop” function is only available in all recent versions of Chrome, Firefox and Safari, as well as Internet Explorer version 10 and above.
4. Use this button to post to forum. Upon posting, you are ONLY allow to edit the posting within the first 30 minutes.

2. Type your message and link(s). Select the link and click “Inset/edit link” button and set the preferred options.

Manually upload a file
On the left side of the screen, you are able to see the option “Upload a file” to select the file from your computer.
Click “Choose File”, browse for file and select your file from your computer, click open and then upload the file from your desktop or any specific devices.
After selecting the file, click “Upload this file” to complete the attachment in the forum post.
You are allowed to upload 2 file attachments in single forum post. The maximum size for one file attachment is 5MB.

22. Easier navigation and subscription
Users can easily subscribe and navigate between forums and individual discussion pages from the page which displays all forum activities in a course.

23. Easier navigation between forum threads
Users can move from the previous discussion to the next in the list without reverting to the online forum page.

24. New “My Library” widget
This widget allows users to access MyDigitalLibrary from the course page.

25. Personalised dashboard
A personalised dashboard enables users to receive course related notifications.
For tutorial related notification made by your tutor and tutorial mates, please check the Online Forums section in your individual course(s).

26. Message button
A message button enables users to send messages via a pop-up box without leaving the page they are currently viewing.
