KAIZEN Part of the culture at KOBEYAKI is shaped by the Japanese philosophy of KAIZEN The word simply means “GOOD CHANGE” It is a Japanese philosophy that focuses on consistently improving and changing for the better. These changes don’t have to be big or take place all at once. They can be simple, small or gradual changes to enhance the KOBEYAKI experience.

NEXT STEP KOBEYAKI is opening up our next location for the first time out of NYC…. NEWPORT – JERSEY CITY The world's most successful mixed-use community The largest mixed-use development in the world is energizing the banks of the Hudson River - Newport, NJ. Chelsea - The thriving fashion district with a heavy concentration of new media businesses, residents and tourists. Bryant Park - One of most dense office markets in the country, near times square with abundant tourist traffic. Upper East Side - One of the wealthiest neighborhoods in the city with a very dense residential population. KOBEYAKI also operates a concession at Madison Square Garden – “The Worlds Greatest Arena” which is located in the Midtown West section of Manhattan. Our parent co. has entered into a license agreement to operate a KOBEYAKI restaurant at JFK Airport in Terminal 7. That licensed location will open in early 2018. KOBEYAKI will continue to expand and develop our brand in new markets as opportunities arise for this fast growing concept.

9 MANAGEMENT TEAM + ADVISORY BOARD
Brian Kelly has been a lifelong entrepreneur. His diverse experience as an entrepreneur in both the restaurant and construction industries have been invaluable to the success of the KOBEYAKI concept.  Brian Konopka is a chef and restaurateur who graduated from the Culinary Institute of America as well as the New England Culinary Institute with degrees in both Culinary Arts and Food and Beverage Business Management.  Salvador Barrera graduated from culinary school and went on to work in the kitchen of the thirty-unit Japanese concept Todai. Impressed by the young chef’s work ethic, meticulous skill and desire to learn, executive chef Eiko Takahashi took Salvador under her tutelage for five years, teaching him the ways of Japanese cooking and food preparation.
