3. World Challenge – Group 1
There is a meeting for all group 1 challengers Monday (9th October) lunch time in room 219. Come along at 1.15pm and bring your lunch with you – be on time! Can you please also bring along your money for hoodies for Miss McDonald.

4. Applications for the 2018 Shadowing Scheme are now open   The annual CUSU Shadowing Scheme enables S5 students to experience life at the University of Cambridge first hand.    The Shadowing Scheme is targeted at prospective students from schools or families with little or no history of applying to top universities.  Participants in the Scheme ('shadow students') come to stay at the University for three days in late January/early February.  Staying in College accommodation, participants 'shadow' a current undergraduate who's studying the subject in which they are interested, accompanying them to lectures, classes and supervisions.  This year, the Shadowing Scheme will run on the following dates: January January February 2018

We are offering students the opportunity to attend half day sessions to experience different jobs within the STEAM sector. The programme will include workshops and workplace visits.
If you are interested in signing up, please speak to your Student Support Teacher.

7. Ski Race Team Success!
Congratulations to everyone who participated in Sunday’s Scottish Schools Ski Association Race Championships 2017!
Particular congratulations to Olivia Millar, Kayleigh Cameron and Louisa McGregor for their strong individual times in the Senior Girls’ Race, and to David Weir, Thomas Dossi and Abbie Macintyre who won bronze in the Mixed Race. It’s shaping up to be a great year for ski racing at LHS!

Can all girls attending Fridays tournament please attend a short meeting on Thursday at break in 125 to finalise details.

9. Charities Committee

School.
All students coming along to the bike club MUST come and see Miss Anstruther
in room 205 by Wednesday Lunchtime.

16. Silver Award
Any current S4 or 5 Bronze participants interested in working towards Silver Award please come to a meeting: Room 105, Wednesday 4th October at lunchtime
(expeds summer term 2018 after exams and autumn term 2019)
