Making a Portfolio

2 From the syllabus… Professional portfolio. Each student will prepare a two-part professional portfolio/packet that could be used for the general purpose of achieving employment in the student’s field of interest. Portfolios will not be accepted late. The student has two options for this project: A. Create a notebook-style portfolio primarily using paper artifacts and displays ready for viewing by an employer. These items will also be scanned/digitized and stored on a DVD or CD-ROM data disc. The disc must be turned in with the notebook portfolio. The disc will not be returned, but the notebook will after evaluation. B. Create a working, website portfolio with all materials available online. This can be a personal website or something through Wordpress, but Facebook does not qualify. In addition to the website, the student will turn in a packet/folder that contains printouts of the web material and a disc of files used for the website. The packet should include resume, introductory letter, prints of all major pages of the website, and selected portfolio items printed out for visual aids during an interview. All items inside the packet should be scanned/digitized and files stored on a DVD or CD-ROM disc. Also, files used for the website should be included on the disc. Depending on how the website was created, it can be stored on the data disc as a working site. The disc will not be returned, but the packet will be after evaluation.
