1 Using One Point Perspective to Combine Shapes

2 Draw a 2” x 2” square in the lower left corner
Draw a 2” x 2” square in the lower left corner. Horizon line is 2 inches down from the top of the paper; VP is 6 inches in from either side.

3 Draw a 2” x ¼” rectangle on top of the cube.

4 Guidelines to VP.

5 Draw sides and tops of combined shapes (horizontal & vertical lines)

6 Erase guidelines.

7 Legs: draw lines on front and sides
Legs: draw lines on front and sides. (Like drawing openings on front and sides of boxes.)

8 Erase guidelines.

9 Draw the inside of the front leg.

10 Erase guidelines.

11 Draw legs.

12 Erase guidelines.

13 Draw a 4” x 1” rectangle on the right side
Draw a 4” x 1” rectangle on the right side. Make sure it is set in from the edge of the paper. Draw a2” x 2” square next to it.

14 Guidelines to VP.

15 Draw the sides and tops of the combined shapes (vertical & horizontal lines).

16 Erase guidelines.

17 Desk legs.

18 Guideline to VP for desk legs.

19 Draw the inside of the desk leg.

20 Erase guideline.

21 Draw diagonal line to VP across top of desk.

22 Add depth to the bookcase shelves by drawing horizontal lines.

23 You do NOT have to shade in the side of the bookcase wall.

24 Draw a 2” wide X 1” tall rectangle DIRECTLY BELOW the VP.

25 Guidelines to VP.

26 Draw top of box using a horizontal line.

27 Erase guidelines.

28 Table legs: draw an opening on the front of the box.

29 Guidelines to VP.

30 Vertical lines to draw the inside of the legs.

31 Erase bottom of opening.
