Homework will be handed out on a Friday and can be brought back on Monday, Tuesday and no later than Wednesday please!

Literacy Numeracy Science Fiction – Stories set in imaginary worlds.
Stories that raise issues. Non-Fiction – Recounts Explanation texts Poetry – Creating Images Place Value, ordering, rounding. Understanding + and -. Money and ‘real life’ problems. Making decisions and checking results. Handling Data. Using a calculator. Shape and space. Reasoning about shapes. Measures, including Mental and paper strategies for + and -. Understanding multiplication. Fractions. Decimals. All children will have their own coloured spelling sheet. When they are ready to be tested, they must write their name in the Class spelling book. Numeracy All children must try and change their reading books regularly. The children can place their finished books in the changing tray when they need a new book Science Sound – Why is Pop music enjoyed by so many? How would you survive without water? In Year 4, children need learn all their times tables up to 12x12. They will be tested regularly.

What is a good friend and how can I be one? PSHE Networking – How Internet and work. Internet Safety Computing. How would you survive without water? Geography Who were the mighty Romans? Who were the early law makers? History Art Elements of Art will be taught throughout the various topics.

Design & Technology Gymnastics – body control. Outdoor: Net/Wall games Dance – rhythm, timing and performance reflection. Hockey – skills and tactics. Please ensure your child always has their PE kit in school. P.E. Charanga – Mama Mia and Christmas Carols Music speaking and listening – greetings and basic vocabulary e.g. numbers, days of the week and colours. French
