We are happy to open this R3 review with some great news. This release will include an extension to our current mobile client making it a full mobile client for Access Control. Now, on top of our existing XProtect mobile client, users like security guards and patrol officers could review, grant or deny access to the building as well as being notified of any security breach directly to their mobile in real time even during patrols or while being out of the office, making sure security is under control continuously.
Mobile access control is available for all XProtect products except for the free essential+ version that doesn’t support XProtect Access.

The next new feature makes our No.1 VMS even easier to use on site. It allows businesses such as shops, kiosks and gas stations to display live video DIRECTLYonto any DLNA supported TV with no additional computer or software, transformning video surveillance into a preventive tool.
The technology behind this great feature is called DLNA, which stands for Digital Living Network Alliance and it allows sharing digital media directly among supporting multimedia devices such as Smart TVs.
This new feature makes it easier, more convinient ans cost efficient for such businesses to maximize the use of their CCTV on site.
The DLNA feature is available for XProtect Express+, Professional+, Expert and Corporate.

4. AAC audio clear sound in recordings, playback and speaking
clear announcements in noisy places such as industrial facilities, public streets, train stations etc.

The next software upgrade revolves around sound.
While our XProtect products focus mainly on video, in recent years audio has become a relevant security feature requested by several verticals such as city surveillance and law enforcement where audio plays an active and vital part of the solution.
In order to cater to this need, the R3 will support Advanced Audio Coding or AAC to allow High Fidelity sound while recording, playback and speaking using the Smart Client.
Since it is based on an external service, every smart client will require an AAC license. All supporting XProtect products include 2 AAC licenses and additional licenses are available for purchase if needed.
The AAC feature is available for XProtect Express+, Professional+, Expert and Corporate and at the moment, supports Axis and Sony cameras.
