3. Why Animoto?
Unlimited free videos using a VERY easy and friendly format. Has fun themes and background music. (easier than a bulletin board but just as fun) Ability to upload pictures and videos.

4. Tips I found that make it easier
Remember that length of song will affect the number of pictures you can download.
Before beginning place all of the pictures and videos either on your desktop or in an easily found file.
Number of pictures and videos depends of ratio of pics: videos
(max. video length is 10 sec. & max. number of pics 300)

5. But what about text
Well…. You can not add lots of text but…….. You can always create a notebook file, powerpoint slide, word document etc. and create a screen shot (shift +command +4) which will create a picture of your text. Then add the picture to your video.

6. Now Lets see how easy it can be
Step #1: make sure you have your file in an easy spot to “find” Step #2: log in and click “Create Video” Step #3: decide on a style for your video (this could take awhile if you like to browse) Step #4: decide on a song (again if you like to browse this could take awhile) Step #5: begin uploading pictures (rearrange or spotlight as needed) Step #6: Add text if desired Step#7: Preview and make any changes Step #8: finalize Step #9: it or share it so others will bask in your awesomeness.

7. OF Course there is ….
Yes --- DUH There is even an app for that. (and it is still free- hehehe) Animoto Video free for your ipad or iphones.

8. Students involvement
Using the promotional code given with your free education account and your students (<50) have access to the same account features. (code works for 30 days only)
Then again… If the student creates a “lite” account there are not as many bells or whistles and the videos are limited to 30 sec. (which may be just right if you are looking at +100)
Once an account has created & produced the video it can be shared or embedded into your website or share it using , twitter, facebook, etc.
