4 INDIVIDUAL EVENTS 8:30- 10:45 Individual Events will not be scored. They are just for fun. Every student should be able to participate in every event (except for Hot Shot) as long as you move quickly from station to station and go over the games with your students ahead of time. Go ahead and divide your homeroom into 4 teams (A, B, C, and D) that will compete against each other at each event. If a team(s) has an odd number of students, designate someone to go twice. Having your students divided in advance will allow you to start playing your game as soon as you get to your station. For events that take PARTNERS, go ahead and have your students pick partners within their teams. If you have an odd number on a team, designate someone to go twice. Rotate to your next station when you hear the bullhorn. Station 1, goes to Station 2, etc.. All the way to Station 15…Station 15, goes to Station 1, then 2, etc.. Map attached with your teacher packets.

Now there are 2 of them and 1 ball between them. They run down, get a ball (hands are okay to pick up a ball), run back, “pick up” another person (now there are 3 kids and 2 balls squeezed between them), and run down. Race continues until all balls are used for that team. If they drop the ball(s), they pick it up and keep going.

22 What do we need you to do for INDIVIDUAL EVENTS to be a success?
Go ahead and divide your class into Team A, B, C, and D. Explain to them this will be their teams for all of the individual events. Go ahead and divide your teams into PARTNERS (within Team A, B, C, and D.) Go over each event with your class ahead of time. Explain each one, especially the uncommon games. If they have a clear idea of what they’re doing, it will save time and make it more fun for them. You only have 8 MINUTES at each station (includes transition time!) If you have to spend time explaining the game, it will eat into your play time! Individual Events will not be scored. You will not turn in scores to the coaches. Have 12 students sign up for Basketball Hot Shot.

23 What do we need you to do for INDIVIDUAL EVENTS to be a success?
Remind your students to have socks for the inflatables. Tell your students they can bring individual water bottles to refill throughout the day. Please keep your students in your sight and in your supervision at all times. We need you to monitor them and help keep them safe and in control.
