2 Elvis Presley Elvis Aaron Presley is an American singer. Born in January 1935, and died in August Elvis is well known for being the King of Rock and Roll and the new voice of music.

3 Early Life Elvis was born in Tupelo, Mississippi, on January 8, 1935, in a two-room house. Elvis had a twin brother that shortly died after birth. Elvis singing ability was found upon his elementary school in Tupelo. Elvis grew up in a poor family where his father had to become a carpenter, famer, and a factory worker to support his family but at each job after the next he failed. At the age twelve young Elvis gotten a guitar for his birthday present. After having the guitar, he taught himself to play. A year later Elvis and the family moved out of Tupelo, in to Tennessee. Elvis made top of the country charts with “Mystery Train” in Weeks later Elvis became a “Living Legend” as he stated in his song title. It was around 18 years of ages when he notices he wasn’t setting himself apart from by dressing the same as them. So Elvis reinvented himself, were he start to wear dress pant with usually a stripe on the sides, with a sideburn and a bolero jacket. At the age 20 he had the most selling records of the centuries. For 5 years Elvis was the most popular artist selling millions and millions of records. He was at his peak, there was nothing else he could do. Elvis became a drug user… Causing him to eat more than usually for his drug abuse. His drugs choice was medical prescriptions and cocaine (coke). Soon later he died on August 16,1977.

4 Life experience Elvis Presley grew up very poor. His family and him only had each other to look after. Elvis parents fell under depression when Elvis twin brother had died when he was born. Elvis seen a lot of poverty growing up as they didn’t have much wealth. He finally got his first break through at the age 18 buying his first record for his mom on how a big influence she has been for her son.3 Elvis Presley got big to big people might say he hit is height of his career he start to lose himself in the fame. He use drugs as coke and prescription pills with alcohol.

5 Elvis Innovative (Global) Impact
Elvis Presley perfected the country and pop music. Even when Elvis was known for Rock and Roll he started as a Country music player. Elvis has change the name for white people everywhere. From being boring to extraordinary. Elvis Presley change today music today by giving music a new name. To new Artist as the Weeknd, Michael Jackson, and even some rappers as in Eminem as they both come for poor family but now make for then a regular person.

6 Did You Know (Fun Facts)
Elvis black hair was dyed – his real hair color was brown. Elvis was 6ft tall and wore 11 size shoes. Recording Hound Dog in the studio, Elvis reportedly demanded 31 takes. Elvis recorded more than 600 songs, but did not write any of them.
