William ‘Buddy’ Gillespie, HCISPP,  is Director of Healthcare Solutions at Distributed Systems Solutions (DSS). Mr. Gillespie’s position is a critical part of the company’s continued efforts to develop a core focus on Healthcare IT Solutions, and set the stage for future growth. His responsibilities include direct consulting with clients, assessing and improving healthcare solution offerings, helping drive the DSS brand into the healthcare community, and initiating relationships with hospitals and practices for future business development. Previously, Mr. Gillespie was Vice President and Chief Technology Officer/CIO Emeritus at WellSpan Health (retired), a 5-hospital integrated delivery system based in York, Pennsylvania. WellSpan Health serves the health care needs of more than 800,000 people in south central Pennsylvania. WellSpan has been named a Top 100 Most Wired and a Top 25 Best Connected health system six-years running. In 2006, WellSpan received the Courion Vision Award for its strategic approach to Identity Management. In 1999, and again in 2002, WellSpan was recognized by Cerner as a Top Five Recipient of the PowerChart Innovation Award.
