3 Las Vegas is unique among U. S. cities
Las Vegas is unique among U.S. cities. Famous for luxury casinos and show palaces offering non-stop recreation on the "Strip" and in downtown Casino Center, the city has over the years become synonymous with glitter and glamour. Las Vegas since the late 1980s has acquired another identity as a center for business, finance, transportation, and services; still the "Entertainment Capital of the World," it has actively and successfully cultivated a diversified economy. The Las Vegas resident can enjoy legalized gaming, yet more often will take advantage of the diverse range of cultural and recreational opportunities offered in the city and in the surrounding area.

4 MGM Grand Hotel Casino One of the largest hotels in the world, this place will overwhelm you with its size. Four 30-storey towers accommodate the guest rooms and luxury suites. Many rooms offer excellent views of the city. The Grand Class Suites are housed on the 29th floor. Deluxe Grand Tower rooms are reminiscent of a Hollywood studio bungalow, complete with a sitting area. You will find a wide variety of other Hollywood-inspired venues including Studio 54, and Farmers Market. The Studio Walk offers endless shopping and eating choices.

5 The Las Vegas Convention Center
Centrally located in the Las Vegas Valley, the Las Vegas Convention Center offers convenient and quick access to more than 18,000 guest rooms all within walking distance and 50,000 guest rooms within 83 feet to three miles of the Convention Center. Only three miles away, the Downtown/Casino Center area provides over 9,000 rooms. McCarran International Airport and Las Vegas' business district are also within minutes of the Convention Center - both just 3 miles away. The Las Vegas Convention Center is completing a $150 million expansion project, adding 918,000 square feet of exhibit space and 90,000 square feet of meeting space. Upon its completion in November 2001, the Las Vegas Convention Center will have more than 3.2 million square feet of total space, and will feature approximately 2 million square feet of net exhibit space, and 380,000 square feet of net meeting room space, accommodating 170 meeting rooms with seating capacities from 20 to 7,500.
