Psalm 51:1-12
Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your unfailing love; according to Your great compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. Against You, You only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight, so that You are proved right when You speak and justified when You judge. 26. AS WE FORGIVE OUR DEBTORS.”
The 6th petition
of The Lord’s Prayer,
“FORGIVE US OUR DEBTS
AS WE FORGIVE OUR DEBTORS.”
“For if you forgive others when they sin against you, your Heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins against you, your heavenly Father will not forgive your sins.”

27. FIVE NEW TESTAMENT GREEK WORDS
FOR SIN:
#1 “Hamartia” (missing the target)
#2 “Parabasis” (stepping across)
#3 “Paraptoma” (swept away)
#4 “Anomia” (breaking the rule of law)
#5 “Opheilema” (debit; debt, negative entry)
Note: #5 is a Greek Accounting term for debit. It is the word for sin used in the Lord’s Prayer.

We understand that You will forgive the sins that have caused us to be in debt to You, on the condition that we forgive those who have sinned against us, that is, OUR DEBTORS, those who are in debt to us, those who are out of balance with us because of the wrongs they have committed against us.
