1 Midterm Check In

2 Midterm is a good time to assess how classes are going
“To drop or not to drop, that is the question.” When should I drop a class? If you know you are failing and do not think you will pass the class, it is time to DROP. How do I know my chances of passing? Consult your syllabus: how many tests, assignments, etc. remain? If you do well on them, how much will your grade improve? Ask your professor! GPA calculator.

6 Dropping a course-- Friday October 28th—WAS the deadline to drop a course with a “W” Monday November 28th—Deadline to drop a course with a “WP” or a “WF.” Talk to your professor to see if they will allow you to drop with a WP. A WF is an F on your transcript

11 Grade Forgiveness…. I didn’t drop the class and it didn’t turn out the way I’d hoped. GRADE FORGIVENESS: You may repeat up to four classes for which you have earned an “F,” a “D,” or a “WF” grade (some restrictions apply). Note: forgiveness applies to first 4 classes retaken. The grade you make the 2nd time is the grade that is counted toward your GPA!  The course must be retaken at UCA to count for Grade Forgiveness.
