1 Eva’s Career Path How to become designer

2 My Career Goals I want to become designer by 2025.
To get there, I will need to: Graduate high school by July 2019. Go to an art university.

3 What is designer ? A designer is a person who designs. More formally, a designer is an agent that "specifies the structural properties of a design object". In practice, anyone who creates tangible or intangible objects, products, processes, laws, games, graphics, services, and experiences is referred to as a designer.

4 About my future career To do this job , I would work in an office or at home. Most fashion designers earn somewhere between $20,000 and $80,000 a year. This job over 56 hours per week. Stat 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. everyday.

5 My job has a 30% chance of becoming automated
Computers will continue to be used to make the design and production of clothing more efficient and less time consuming. Market demand, rather than an individual designer's tastes, will determine what companies produce in the future.

6 Designer would be great for me because…
I already have painting skills for this career

7 I am not quite ready for this career, but I will get there!
These are skills for the job I still need to learn: This is how I will get those necessary skills: An eye for colour and design sewing skills Try to come up with a few new fashion ideas of your own and sketch them Imaginative Keep on top of the industry by reading as many fashion magazines as possible

8 This is what appeals to me with this career…
Work time free. reinvent old ones by designing different types of clothing.

9 These are some things I find less appealing about this career…
It can be very difficult to find full-time work in this field. there will be fewer opportunities in the future.

10 Potential obstacles to getting this career
The possible obstacles: Fashion designers typically work 9 to 10 hours a day. Weekend work is common, especially when seasonal deadlines are approaching. The fashion world can be stressful, with designers working under strict deadlines and against stiff competition. Those who are just starting out may have to work extra hard to make a name for themselves.

11 Potential obstacles to being successful within this career
The possible obstacles: My plan to overcome them:

12 The training/education required for my career is:
Even though there are no specific educational requirements for a career in fashion design, most designers have a degree, diploma, or certificate in fashion design or a related area. Fashion design programs are available at a number of colleges and universities across the country. They typically include courses in areas such as the history of fashion and computer-aided design (CAD). Many fashion designers gain hands-on experience by training with experienced designers for a number of years. They may start off by doing simple jobs like cutting patterns, and gradually work their way up in the industry. Putting together a strong portfolio of your work is essential to starting a career in fashion design. Business training that includes courses in marketing and merchandising is useful, especially if you want to work as a freelance designer.
