TALPA NOTAMs
The Runway Condition Assessment (RCAM) Matrix, as seen in the Aeronautical Information Manual, et al:
Assigns a Code Number (Runway Condition Code or RwyCC) to each third of the runway.
Contaminants are broken down for each runway segment.
No more Mu Numbers?
Is there a relationship between the RwyCC and Braking Action?
What will I get from Flight Service on the radio?
Why are PIREPs for braking action so important now?

6. Braking Action Reports… Please!
Your Braking Action Report is an invaluable form of PIREP.
PIREPs are a highly “perishable” item.
They enable adjustment of the RCC numbers, AFIS updates and improvement of the RCAM Matrix itself (maybe).
