Timeline

2. Student/Parent/Academic Coach Conference
Either end of Term 1: Week 9 Monday,
30th March
Or start of Term 2 : wk 1 Wednesday
22nd April
Both days’ times are 3.40pm to 7.20pm
You will be told in plenty of time when and how appointments are made.

3. Before the conference
I will have had some thoughts about my third goal which is to be measureable and is specific to help my learning

4. Before this conference
My literacy and numeracy goals are to be on my Ultranet page ready for discussion
When to put these on my Ultranet page:
Yr 10 Weeks 6 & 7
Yr 9 Weeks 7 & 8
Yr 8 Week 8
Yr 7 Week 8
This is done in afternoon form times in the computer rooms. Each form class has a specific date to complete this.

5. How do I decide my literacy & numeracy goals?
I speak with my Maths teacher about my numeracy goal
I speak with my English teacher about my literacy goal
I write both down in my diary ready to add these to my Ultranet page when it is the day for my form to go to the computer room

6. What will happen at your conference
You will discuss your goals with your form tutor/academic coach and your parents.
Between you, your form tutor/academic coach and your parents, you will come up with specific steps to help you achieve these goals.
Your efforts and successes will be reviewed in Term 4 and communicated to your parents through your end of year report.

7. Parents unable to make it?
You have to have this discussion with your form tutor/academic coach preferably with your parents. If they cannot make it, then you attend the conference by yourself. The process is the same.
Your parents will be informed of the outcome.

8. That’s it!
Throughout the year, you work towards success at school in all your subjects and you use your three goals to help you stay on track.
So, as the Nike slogan goes: Just do it!
