2 PERSUASIVE TECHNIQUES
On a piece of binder paper, create five columns. Write these titles on each column, then wait for further instruction from your teacher. You will be going through a visual literacy exercise. SEE MEAN QUESTIONS PREDICTIONS PERSUASIVE TECHNIQUES Young boy Broken flip flops Gun – rocket RPG Bayonet Red shirt Satchel Skinny stature Dirt road Grass Forest or green background (Hazy) Black shorts Wrist band Words different lettering Bag Some titles are lower cased  Blurry might mean can’t remember past very well. Might be brainwashed. Gun shows violence (or at least he has been exposed to it.) Looking down might mean depressed. Looks like he doesn’t want to be here. Broken flip flop – walking a lot . Ready to fight at all times Young – child. Enslaved/ possible captive.. War/ death/ alone. Out of soldiers so using little children.  Why is he sad? Where is he? What is in the bag? Why the RPG on shoulders? How old is he? Why is he alone? Where is his family?  Change of font – Logic – to make it seem like it is his handwriting.
