2014 Offering 2016 Offering Stations had their own Olympic Zone site as part of NBCOlympics.com. Stations published and promoted all content to Olympic Zone, rather than their own sites. Local content and branding was accessed from NBCOlympics.com by manually typing in your zip code, provider and affiliate. One local module was included on NBCOlympics.com. Local links on NBCOlympics.com all directed to Olympic Zone. Stations could not post links to their station site from NBCOlympics.com. The medal count, which could not be sponsored, only existed on Olympic Zone pages and was not available to post on station sites. Local inventory included the following: Exclusive ownership of all display and video ad inventory on Olympic Zone sites 300x100 display ad on the NBCOlympics.com home page, sport fronts, athlete pages and TV listings There will be no Olympic Zone sites. Instead, stations will receive NBCOlympics.com content, which can be published and sold on station sites and mobile applications. Implementation of auto-localization Stations will have a new, prominently featured module with station branding on NBCOlympics.com homepage called “Five to Watch.” Stations will also have a second section featuring four additional local articles on NBCOlympics.com that link out to station sites with local sales opportunities. Stations can now host and sell sponsorship of a medal count widget that can be placed on multiple pages of their sites and mobile applications. Local inventory will now include the following: Mid-roll during the network simulstream. This inventory will be proportional to the local market inventory within the linear broadcast Pre-roll on any NBCOlympics.com video (live or video-on-demand) accessed from a station website or social account Pre-roll on all locally-produced video on NBCOlympics.com 300x100 display ad on the NBCOlympics.com home and TV Listings page (mobile will be a 320x50) Note: All Sales and Content guidelines and rules apply.
