Students gain knowledge by working for an extended period of time on a problem or question The project includes content and skills that focuses on grade level learning Students develop critical thinking and problem solving and learn to self manage The project must be a real-world problem or task Students make their own decision about their work Students present their completed project to people beyond the classroom Project Lead the Way Interdisciplinary modules that have activities, projects and problems for students to solve Students discover the design process used by engineers Module areas include computer science, engineering and biomedical Grade level modules and aligned to the grade level standards Modules are hands on and relate to the world

These are things like persistence, self control, curiosity, conscientiousness, grit and self confidence Close nurturing relationships with parents and caregivers build resilience Children need challenge and a little hardship and the possibility of failure to build character Students do better academically if they think they can learn something through hard work.

16 Back to School Open House Monday August 21st 6:00-7:30
Students are invited to come and meet their teacher. Be sure to watch your teachers Office Mix before coming. Teachers will be available for questions. There will not be a formal presentation from teachers. There will be a meeting at 6:00 pm for all parents.
