3 School Timings The whistle for the start of the day is blown at 8:50am
Children are expected to be in the playground before 8:45am In order to prepare them for Secondary School, we encourage punctuality and good attendance The school day ends at 3:30 If, over the course of the school year, you wish your child to make their own way home, at any time during the school year, you will need to fill out a permission form. This can be obtained from the class teacher

4 Homework Journals This is a home-school contact book.
It needs to be brought in every day. This book is where you will find the following things Weekly spellings English homework passports Maths homework Any informal written communication between the class teacher and parent/carer

5 Homework Your child will have received an English passport
It is expected that at least four activities (bronze award) will be completed for English throughout each half term Weekly Maths Homework will be send home in journals every Tuesday and must be returned by Friday Weekly Spellings will be tested each Friday Children MUST know all times tables (to 12) off by heart and will be tested regularly We encourage at least 20 minutes of reading each night. Bookmarks to be signed by an adult or older sibling

6 Topic Work - Stranded This half term, we will base our English learning on Michael Morpurgo’s book, Kensuke’s Kingdom. This book also forms the basis of our topic work - Stranded

7 Physical Education Outdoor PE - Tuesdays Indoor PE –Thursdays
Plain white T-shirt, jogging bottoms and top, socks, outdoor trainers (not footwear worn to school) Indoor PE –Thursdays Plain white T-shirt, green shorts, plimsolls (not trainers). Jewellery cannot be worn for PE Hair must be tied back on PE days.
