2 The What Use iPads in creative ways to help children develop language skills.

3 The Why Using the iPad provides opportunities for differentiation, and builds engagement by providing students will choice of opportunities to construct their own learning. It also gives opportunities for formative assessment with the option for immediate feedback. Students can publish their work, and share it with others both inside and outside of the classroom.

5 Bitsboard At ISP, Czech, Spanish and classroom teachers find Bitsboard useful for students to practice vocabulary and sentences structures. Whether a student or a teacher creates the board, we append “isp” and “” to the name so that parents and students can find the resource at home. Useful for all 4 language skills: listening, writing, reading and speaking

Explain Everything Explain everything is one of our most versatile apps. It lets you annotate, animate, and narrate images, text, or video. Have students draw, write, type, and record video or sound. We use EE from Grade 2. Particularly useful for writing, and speaking. 7 Chatterkid Chatterkid is one of our favorite apps. It is easy to use, and the children love it. We use it from Grade 1, and the children are very comfortable using it by themselves. It’s great for first person speech. Examples: Birthday Card (Grade 2) - Happy Birthday (Grade 2) - Blur Bubls (Grade 4) - What fruit am I? (Grade 3) - My description (Grade 5) - Famous person (Grade 3) -

8 Stick Around We are new to using Stick Around. We like the Venn Diagram feature.

9 Online Quizzes Kahoot Quizizz Quizalize
Kahoot is used in modern language classes, for formative assessment. The Czech teacher recently tried Quizizz and has decided to use both of the tools. Quizalize is new to us.
