27 On Going Research International Joint Research,
The Hong Kong University : The Calibration of Local Weather Data for use in Daylight Design and Prediction for Tall Building in Density Built Cities.

28 HKU MEASUREMENT LOCATION
The measurement station is located in the HKU Campus (22.3° N, 114.1°E and 158m asl). The local time is GMT +8 hours.

29 DATA ACQUITION AND PROCESSING
This station consists of one BF3 sunshine sensor that measure global and diffuse solar radiation and sunshine data. data are gained at every fifteen-minute intervals continuously for twenty-four hours by instruments and transferred to a GP1 data logger for recording data.

30 DATA ACQUITION AND PROCESSING
A personal device assistant (PDA) or personal computer (PC) was used for data downloading purpose. The outputs can be set up in either Energy (W/m2), or PAR (photosynthetically active radiation) (mmol.m-2.s-1), or illuminance (klux). For the purpose of this study, the output was set up in illuminance (klux).

31 In this study we collect three daylight parameters :
Global illuminance Diffuse horizontal illuminance Sunshine duration The installed BF3 sunshine sensor and GP1 data logger (inset) in HKU, since July 19, 2006

32 BF3 sunshine sensor and the shadow mask pattern for diffuse measurements
