1 HCS Applications Bundles
HCS License Bundles HCS Applications Bundles Cisco HCS Essential license is available to support analog device connections (for example, phones and fax), Cisco Unified SIP Phone 3905, and Cisco Unified IP Phone 6901. The Cisco HCS Foundation license provides users with the right to use a single device associated with their user profile, which may be a hard phone, soft client, mobile client, or FMC device. A user who requires a second device, whether it's a hard phone, soft client, mobile client, or FMC device, must purchase the Cisco HCS Standard license bundle. The Cisco HCS Standard license provides users with the right to use multiple devices (up to ten) associated with their user profile, which may be a hard phone, soft client, mobile client or FMC device. The Cisco HCS Standard license bundle also: • includes a soft client license (Jabber for Desktop, iPhone, and Android, and Cisco UC Integration for WebEx Connect). If Cisco UC Integration for WebEx Connect is selected, the corresponding WebEx IM and Presence service will also be required. • includes a right to use Cisco Unified Presence to enable IM and Presence Service. • provides Cisco Expressway Firewall Transversal, includes Virtual Edition Expressway Server Software that supports remote access for mobile and fixed endpoint registrations over the internet, IM and Presence, video and audio media sessions (Jabber and EX, MX, and C-series Telepresence endpoints only). • includes a Cisco Enhanced Unity Connection license which provides one unified messaging license for Cisco HCS Standard users. • entitles each Cisco HCS Standard license one session management edition (SME) license. FAQ Which users are covered by the Cisco HCS Foundation license bundle?  User with Cisco IP phone  User with one (1) soft client  User with one (1) mobile client  User with only single number reach (SNR)  IP phone in the lobby or conference room What is the difference between the Foundation and Essential license? The main difference is that a Foundation license can be used for a device that is associated with a user while an Essentials license can only be used with a non-user associated device. Other differences between the Essential License and the Foundation Licenses are phone selection (Essential is only analog phones or the 3905 and 6901 phones), application to the volume commitment for discounted licensing (Essential does not count toward the partner commitment), and price. Just as with the Foundation license, the Essential License requires the partner to purchase one HCS management bundle with each Essential license in addition to Unified Communications Software Subscription and ESW. These will automatically be added in the Netformx HCS Advisor for the partner when they choose the Essential license.  = Included O = Optional Add-ons
