Organic farming is a production system which enables soil, ecosystem and human health to maintain their existance. Each step, from production to consumption, is strictly controlled.
During organic farming practises;
pesticides
fertilizer
hormone
antibiotic
harmful food additives
genetically modified organisms shouldn’t be used.

3. Organic Farming Basic techniques in organic farming
Natural fertilizer use ; making compost, natural manure , green manure
The use of non genetically modified seeds
Crop rotation;Every season, on the specific field planting crops requiring different needs from the soil.
Future applications which attract animals destroying pests ( birds , frogs, ladybirds , snakes etc.)
Mulching; It is a technique for preventing weed growing. Its aim is to protect and develop the soil’s moisture and structure with organic or plastic materials..

5. Organic Farming Activity in our school Garden ,
Celalettin Topçu Anatolian High school.
We stated a suitable area in our school garden for organic farming. In this field, there has never been used any chemical fertilizer.

First Step...
First , we poured natural manure into the soil. Then we prepared the soil by digging and softening it for planting process. On account of the greatness of the area, we constructed a watering system.

Second Step...
We supplied organic seeds and seedling of which genre are not destroyed. The seeds we planted are tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, aubergines, black eyed peas, squashes, melons, watermelons, beans.

Third Step...
We planted our seedlings in that area. As the field we worked in is located in the school garden, the sun could enlighten the plants directly and we watered them reqularly. After a few weeks they flowered as they are seen.

We harvested tomatoes, green pepper, aubergine, beans approximately after two months.

These are organic black eyed beans, aubergines and beans which we grew in our school garden.

Fourth Step...
we continued harvesting organic crops during the period starting from July to September in 2015.

We stated our farming area in our school garden. We used tractor in order to soften the soil. We added natural manure into the softened land.After that we surrounded the farming field with metal fences to prevent the animals from the environment attacking the seedlings. It will be a pleasure to plant our seedlings with all of our project parners.
