2. Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC)
The ARC is the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the 20- county Atlanta region. The Atlanta Regional Commission is responsible for developing the RTP and TIP documents.
The Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) is a 20-year multi-modal, financially constrained plan. ARC is currently in Plan 2040.
The Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP) is the short-term planning document reflecting the highest priority in the near term of the RTP. All projects are required to be consistent with the RTP. ARC is currently in the TIP.

3. Brookhaven in the Plan
Brookhaven Projects currently in the TIP (and RTP) were transferred from DeKalb County.

DK-376 State Rte 141 Pedestrian Improvements (Peachtree LCI)
This is Brookhaven’s first opportunity to add new projects to the TIP.
Having a project in the TIP, allows for participation in the amendment process.

5. ARC 2017 General Guidelines
This is a mid-program solicitation. Applicants should set expectations for adding 4-5 new projects.
Projects must be eligible for Federal Highway Administration funding.
All submissions must be in an approved planning document.
Projects having regional impact will be scored higher.
Projects must be ranked in order of importance.
Request must include a 20% or higher Funding Commitment Resolution. We will include in May 9 Meeting Packet.
