RI’s Strategic Plan includes enhancing Rotary’s public image and awareness. We strive to: Unify image and brand awareness Publicize action-oriented service Promote core values Emphasize vocational service Encourage clubs to promote their networking opportunities and signature activities.

4 Session Objectives After completing this session, a club President should be able to: Create awareness for Rotary and your club in your community Promote a positive public image for your club through service and signature activities Identify Rotary resources to help your club’s public image efforts

How should your message be framed? A results-based Message An example of Impact/Results (a story that emotionally engages) Relevant Information Action (a small step each person can take to participate) Media/Channel (the ways you can reach your community)

17 Activities to be Done Before July 1
Appoint a Public Image Chair and committee or assign Public Image duties to a club officer Choose a club spokesperson if not the Club President Schedule a meeting with your incoming board to share ideas and to develop new ones.
