Awards What is meant by “continued service?” A member who has been active and provided outstanding and extraordinary service for three (3) or more consecutive years would be an example of “continued service.” 2014

9 “beyond the local level?”
Awards What is meant by “beyond the local level?” “Beyond the local level” refers to members who have given outstanding and extraordinary service beyond their local chapter. The member may be active in the Province with their local collegiate chapter(s) (i.e. as an advisor or chapter Liaison). They may participate regularly in Province Day events, attend National Convention, and/or present workshops or perform at Province Days and/or National Conventions. 2014

10 How often can awards be presented to the same member?
Since awards are given based on continued outstanding and extraordinary service, and since we defined continued service as three (3) or more years, it is highly recommended that individual members not receive individual awards more frequently than every three (3) years. 2014

11 Awards Who votes to nominate members for awards?
All chapter members who are in good standing shall have a vote. Members may be nominated for awards upon 2/3 affirmative vote of the chapter. 2014

12 Awards Who approves awards?
Awards receive final approval at various levels. Province Officers approve the Sword of Honor Regional Officers approve the Rose of Honor, Wreath of Achievement, Rose of Dedication and Rose of Constancy. The NEB approves the Ring of Excellence. 2014

13 Awards When can awards be presented?
Awards may be presented AFTER the approval letter AND jewelry (actual award) is received from National Headquarters! Note: Ritual ceremonies are to be memorized and presented in a meaningful way. 2014
