8 Classical Period of Music
Composers used formal rules to write music. The structure of one symphony was much like another. The music gave a sense of orderliness with no extra frills. In architecture, the lines are straight and very symmetrical. Why do think that this room and stately residence were likely built during the Classical Period?

9 Romantic Period of Music
Music had roots in the national spirit of each country. Folk melodies created appealing and emotional works. Builders looked to older styles (medieval Gothic) to design their masterpieces ~~ grand and inspiring. Paintings were of lovely settings, often about life in the country or of elegant people.
