Tube Type The Container and Test Setup options can now
provide Units of Measure field where a lengthy measuring unit in unabbreviated form can be defined. The field will become a dynamic drop down defined in SSM character limit. e.g. milligram/deciliter versus mg/dl or IU/L versus International Unit/Liter Displaying measuring units in unabbreviated form can be more clear if the unit is not internationally recognized. Up to 80 characters It can be more clear if the units are not internationally known.

Labels Prompt Test results can now print on Collection labels.
Layout change determines if results print on separate label or collection label.

Phlebotomy Phlebotomy now has the ability to send both
ordering and scheduled collection date and time for the order to the SoftID system. This will help determind which Stats to collect First.

Order Entry Order Entry is able to modify the specimen collection date by individual specimen or by the entire order when it is necessary to use a different date than the order collection date. Reschedule functionality has been added to Order Entry. Need screenshots

Instrument - Interface
SSM now controls default of "How to Display" and "What to Display" fields in Instrument Menu filter. Replaces hosparams in_def_res_filter and int_def_how_res_filter PCC-40989 For 4.0.3.x: Add hosparam "int_def_how_res_filter" with the following settings: "O" - sets to "By Order" value; "S" - sets to "By Sequence" value. Default setting is "S".

Specimen Tracking Specimen Tracking and Newshift now have
a new default setting in hosparam: st_list_timeout “7” It will now be 7 days before Newshift removes specimens from tracking list.

Specimen Tracking The system has been enhanced to allow the user to fax the Specimen Tracking List. This change provides the benefit of being able to print the Specimen Tracking List using an alternate method when the local printers are down.

Phlebotomy Options Phlebotomy > Label Printing >Canned Message
Has the ability to accept 80 characters per line without wrapping for up to 10 lines for free-text labels. This feature will provide more flexibility when entering free-text to be printed on Phlebotomy labels with Canned Messages.

Ref Lab Manifest The Reference Lab manifest now has the
ability to display the collection date and time of the PC/terminal from which it was printed. Display based on user time zone. *This function is controlled by the report Layout. PCC-31755

The Reference Lab Manifest is enhanced to do the following: Print the information from the Comment Box of the Formulary. Print the requesting physician's address, telephone number and fax number Print up to 4 "Report to" physicians or Ward/Clinic names, addresses, telephone numbers, and fax numbers. Print one order per page. Print a separate page between each specimen category even if it is the same patient. For example, if the same patient had a frozen and a refrigerated specimen there would be a separate page for each. PCC-32104

Ref Lab Manifest Different Manifests can be printed by storage requirements i.e.- Frozen, Ambient, Refrigerated rflab_specimens Labels specimen storage type by last character in Specimen Tube Type ID. Setting of “F,FRO,R,REF,A,AMB” would create three manifests for Specimen Tube types ending with F, R, and A. PCC-31755

Group Test Modifications
Inactivating Group Test components Never uncheck active flag at the test level for individual test. Any group test that the individual test is contained within will also become inactive. DO NOT delete test from a group test, as they will be removed from any previous orders.

SCC will run a script to apply all necessary changes needed in Group test modifications for clients upgrading from previous versions to 4.0.4/ This script will also remove billing codes. This procedure is only valid for Oracle clients.

Workstation Redirection
The Workstation Redirection Utility now displays a single order field. The system will display a warning message if an incorrect order number is entered. PCC-14885 The Pending Orders Report now provides the ability to indicate specimen status. The report can display the following two statuses: 1)Not Collected - ordered, but not collected or received. 2)Not Received - ordered and collected, but not received.

Reference Lab Manifest now provides the ability to show the following: Insurance name Insurance policy number Doctor NPI UPIN Test Level diagnosis code Stay level Insurances from the BINS tag, created by OEHIS. PCC-24248/PCC-17173 REF_diff_manifest "Y" Customize the manifest to add fields for: Insurance hosparam rflab_insurances to "*". rflab_insurances * IN1 segment to contain insurance information corresponding to all insurances for each patient.
