2 Thoroughfare Plan Overview
Thoroughfare planning assures development of street system to meet current and future growth Review Thoroughfare Plan every 5 years to ensure the it remains up-to-date and reflective of existing conditions. Ensures development of a street system to: Serve both the mobility and access needs of the public Provide guidance on the general alignment and right-of-way required for roadways More efficiently meet the City’s transportation needs

3 Thoroughfare Plan Update Process
Lee Engineering began working on Thoroughfare Plan update in April 2017 Inventory of existing roadway network Number of lanes, pavement type, presence of divided median or center two way left turn lane Collected existing 24-hour traffic volumes Existing daily volume-to-capacity ratios were calculated for roadway links where traffic volumes were collected. 14 streets/segments are currently operating near capacity Assessment of current thoroughfare plan and other documents Proposed roadway cross sections Proposed Thoroughfare Plan Map
