Contact a customer service of the PBGB (A.H.Tammsaare tee 47, P. Pinna 4) as soon as possible D-visa will give you the right to stay in Estonia for 6 months (183 days)

3 Required documents a valid travel document which is issued within previous 10 years, contains at least two blank pages for visas and is valid at least 3 months after the expiration date of the visa; a fully completed and signed application form ( KB, PDF). a photo (size 35x45 mm); a insurance policy valid for Estonia or for the Schengen area with a coverage of at least EUR for the entire duration of stay; documents indicating the purpose of journey: a confirmation letter from the host; documents in relation to accommodation or proof of sufficient means to cover the  accommodation; Fee 80 EUR. 5 Right of Residence (RR)
For citizens of member states of European Union and the European Economic Area and the Swiss Confederation More information: A citizen of the European Union, a member state of the European Union Economic Area and Swiss Confederation (hereinafter an EU citizen) has a right to stay in Estonia on the basis of a valid travel document or an identity card for the period of up to three months without registration of the right of residence.

6 How to obtain the right of temporary residence(RTR)?
Step 1: Contact the local government authority and register your residence Population Register (Pärnu Road 9, Niine Street 2, Tulika Street 33b) – take with you the tenancy agreement and your identification document Must be done within three months from the date entering Estonia

7 Step 2: Contact a customer service of the PBGB (A. H. Tammsaare tee 47, P.Pinna 4) to apply for an identity card Within one month from registering your place of residence The RTR will be granted for 5 years

8 Documents needed for the ID card application:
A standard application form An identity document of the applicant A colour photo sized 40x50 mm Document certifying the payment of the state fee (25€ - you can also pay at the office) The ID-card shall be issued within 30 days to the applicant in person (after acceptance of the application for proceeding)

9 ID card certifies the right of temporary residence
To make cheaper copies or prints at the university or library Use the ID card as a library card Certifies the right to use free public transportation + with the green card! After your studies, when you are leaving Estonia please also remember to register yourself out at the Population Register
