Estimate $1,200 to $1,400 per academic year Laptop Between $850-$1,500 through SHU laptop acquisition program Not required to purchase through SHU Remember Miscellaneous Expenses Transportation, toiletries, extra curricular activities 8. How much money will a Sacred Heart student need during the first week of school for things such as books, parking permits, etc? Students have the ability to budget outside costs such as books and supplies into overall cost of attendance. For example: A student may wish to include the cost of books and supplies into a student loan. Therefore when the loan disburses to the University and produces a credit or debit on the account, the Financial Aid Office may be able to issue a book voucher. A book voucher gives the student the ability to use funds from their alternative loan rather than pay out of pocket.
