4 The Fenway Card  Serves as student ID  Provides access to residence halls and dining facilities  “Fenway Cash” may be used at the laundry & vending machines, and off-campus locations  Family/student can add “Cash” by going to http://www.fenwaycard.com/

5 Health Insurance  Required by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts  $1,650 annual premium for 2011-2012 year  If covered under another plan, students must complete a Health Insurance Waiver  Waive at www.universityhealthplans.com  Deadline to complete waiver is August 1, 2011

6 Billing Timeline  Fall 2011 Semester Bill Mailed July 1, 2011 Due Monday, August 1, 2011  Spring 2012 Semester Bill Mailed in November 15, 2011 Due Thursday December 15, 2011

7 Balance Due You are billed for the balance after:  $200 Tuition Deposit  $100 Room Deposit (if living on-campus)  Financial Aid (excluding Federal Work Study)  Private Outside Scholarships (w/documentation)  Approved and completed alternative parent and/or student loans

11 Credit-based Loans  May borrow up to full cost of education after financial aid  Please initiate requests NOW so we can ensure processing prior to the bill due date.  Decide on amount (plan for both terms) and choose a lender Financing Guide  To apply, please refer to the Alternative Financing Guide brochure, or go to our web site: www.wheelock.edu/finaid  Don’t plan on a credit refund for books, travel and other living expenses. It will not be available until about 4 weeks in to the term.

12 Private Outside Scholarships  Students must provide written documentation of the scholarship(s) for the pending award to be reflected on the billing statement  Students should check with scholarship organization regarding renew ability  Student is responsible for completing the scholarship process and making sure funds are received  Very Significant private scholarships may impact a student’s financial aid award

13 Student Employment  On-campus jobs are available but are limited  Students receive an email around move in weekend with more information  Students contact supervisors and apply for jobs  Complete required documents  Forms of original ID needed to process job paperwork  1. Valid U.S. Passport OR  2. Social Security Card AND Valid License/Picture ID  Complete I-9, W-4  Direct Deposit Form-Bring a Blank Check or Savings Account Information  Work-Study, Term-Time, Jumpstart, Off-Campus

14 Financial Aid – Things to do  Students borrowing a Stafford loan must complete an Entrance Counseling and Master Promissory Note.  If receiving outside scholarships, send financial aid the agency notice  Applying for Future Years Complete FAFSA in January (estimated income) Priority filing date of April 15, 2012 Award Letters Mailed out June
