There may be multiple sessions within a summer term. The summer term is a part of the 30 semester hour limit. Students who are currently enrolled in CCP will qualify for the summer term.

8 Graduation Requirements
College Credit Plus Grades are Applied to Graduation Requirements All CCP grades go on the student’s transcript. The credits you earn in the college courses are applied to your high school graduation requirements. Tina Medina Grading scale is the colleges grading scale not the districts? Double Dipping Also, students in grades 7 and 8 enrolled in college credit plus courses do not have the course grade factored into his/her GPA. Will College Credit Plus Grades Appear on My High School Transcript? Yes. High school credit awarded for courses successfully completed under College Credit Plus will satisfy or exceed the graduation requirements and subject area requirements of the school district. Courses successfully completed under College Credit Plus must be listed by course title on the high school transcript. College Credit Plus courses will be computed into the GPA using the same scale as Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate classes in your district, in the same subject area.

9 College Credit Plus Weighted Grades Legislation requires that college courses must be weighted equally to the greatest weight of Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate or Honors Classes, in the same subject area. AP, IB, Honors Class College Course Tina Medina CCP course is weighted based upon the highest score offered in the subject area within the district. CHECK and clarify

11 What needs to be said about Pathways?
College Credit Plus What needs to be said about Pathways? TINA - Transferability, which pathway associates 15 credits or 30 Associate of science and associate of arts where do you access these. Transferability to other universities Now that we helped you understand the process of CCP now Dr. Ruebensaal will discuss the consequences of CCP. Karen to print How do choices lead to academic goals?

12 Potential Consequences of CCP
Withdrawing before and after 14 days Academic failure FERPA SAP Fees Dawn

13 Withdrawing Students may withdraw until the 14th day of the course without having to pay for the course. The W grade may still be a part of the college transcript. If the college limits withdrawals, it may count toward that limit in future years. Dawn

14 Failing a Class If a student fails a CCP course, they must pay back the cost of that course. Failing grades may impact a student’s ability to qualify for financial aid in two ways: 1) GPA set by each college and 2) Completion rate set at 67% of courses taken. Dawn It stays on your college transcript. DELETE Classes failed or withdrawn with an “F” will receive an “F” on the high school and college transcripts and will be computed into the high school and college GPA. If you do not receive a passing grade, the district may, in some instances, seek reimbursement for the amount of state funds paid to the college on your behalf for that college course. The school district may withhold grades and credits received for high school courses taken until reimbursement has been made.

15 You No Longer Are in Control of Your Child’s Academic Progress
FERPA mandates that the child have control of his/her academic record. In practice, that means you can’t view his/her grades and can’t contact professors on his/her behalf. Dawn

16 SAP Satisfactory Academic Progress is used to determine qualification for financial aid. It is set by each college. Three key elements: 1) GPA (often 2.0 but not always), 2) Completion rate of 67%, and 3) Maximum credits of 150% of the credits required for the degree. Dawn

17 Text Books and Fees Textbooks are the property of the school district.
Students who successfully complete the college course do not pay for either books or fees. Students attending a private college may have a cost that includes books and fees. Karen Frimel Revise REVISED TEXTBOOKS and Processess and Fees
