1 One Book or Many Books? Lesson 7

2 Covenant- an agreement between two individuals or groups
Promise, agreement, contract God often made covenants in the Bible with humans—making promises to them

3 Torah- the first five books of the Bible which were written by Moses
Hebrew name for the first 5 books of the Bible These 5 books mainly teach about the origins of Israel and their laws

4 Nebiim- the prophetic books of the OT

5 Ketubim means “the writings” in Hebrew
Ketubim- a collect of 13 Old Testament books containing the poetic books and other writings Ketubim means “the writings” in Hebrew

6 Genesis to Malachi in the English Bible
Old Covenant- the agreement recorded in the Old Testament that God made with the nation of Israel making them His people Recorded the history and dealings between God and mankind before Christ came to earth. Genesis to Malachi in the English Bible
