7 Introduction The concept of buying a hardcover book is slowly but surely going away. In the article “Should Libraries Get Rid of Printed Books?,” it examines the pros and cons about getting rid of printed books in libraries. Shannon McClintock Miller, a teacher librarian, states how libraries should get rid of printed books because digital content is easier to use. However, Naomie S. Baron says libraries should not get rid of printed books because readers multitask with electronic screens. Although digital libraries are becoming more and more popular, libraries should not get rid of printed books because readers multitask with electronic screens, there is nostalgia with printed books, and a library is not library without books.

8 Conclusion Even though libraries want to save money with digital books, they should not get rid of printed copies. The first reason is because… The second reason is because… The third reason is because… In conclusion, printed copies in libraries allow readers to have the choice whether they want to read a hardcopy or a digital copy.
