Because it is a work of the flesh: Galatians 5:20 “…enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions,…”
It is understandable that people of the world would behave this way, but what of Christians?

5. We Are a Holy People Though we live in this world we are not of it.
We’ve been called from a life of darkness (flesh) to the light (spirit).
“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” 1 Peter 2:9
