1 Biomolecules Analyze the Protein, Lipid, and Carbohydrate Molecule cards. Which elements do they have in common? What elements are different? Why are these biomolecules so important? Sort the “Biomolecule Card Sort” into the correct order. Place the correct tan cards onto the “Biomolecule Chart” Fill in the chart on page 1 of your booklet. Shuffle cards and put back into baggies Identify the biomolecule!!

2 Photosynthesis and Cellular Respiration
Place the “Cellular Respiration and Photosynthesis” cards on the correct place on the “Cellular Respiration and Photosynthesis Equation Diagram”. Place the “Comparing Photosynthesis to Cellular Respiration” cards on the correct spot of the Venn Diagram. Complete page 2 in your booklet. Shuffle cards and put back into baggies. Play games!!!!

3 Cell Transport Analyze the “Passive and Active Transport” triangle diagram. Place the yellow cards on the correct side of the triangle. Place the correct “Tonicity” card under the correct picture on the “Osmosis” diagram Fill out page 3 in your booklet. Mix up the cards and put them back into the baggy. Play Games!!!

4 Prokaryotic and Eukaryotic Cells
Place the blue venn diagram cards onto the “blue cards” on Venn Diagram card. Place “Characteristics of Pro and Euk Cells” cards on Pro and Euk Comparison Table Place the orange cards in the correct place on the orange “Prokaryotic Vs. Eukaryotic” card. Fill in charts on page 4 and 22 in your booklet. Mix up the cards and put them back into the baggies.

5 The Cell Cycle ID the phase of mitosis of the numbered cells on the “Onion Root Tip” picture card, then put the “Phases of Mitosis and Cytokinesis Cards” in order. Draw and describe the phases on page 5 in booklet. Match the “Phases of Mitosis and Cytokinesis Cards” Place the “Cell Cycle Characteritics Cards” in the correct place on the “Eukaryotic Cell Cycle” card. Fill in answers of cell cycle diagram on pg. 5 of booklet Use the “Mitosis pics” to quiz your partner. Finish answering questions on page 5 in booklet. Mix up the cards and put them back into the baggies. Practice

6 Meiosis and Genetics Fill out pages 6, 10, and 20 in your Booklet. Sort Mitosis Vs Meiosis Cards if time allows!!!!!! Play Games!!!

Place the orange cards in the correct place on the Venn Diagram. Translate the mRNA in the ribosome using the codon chart provided. Fill out pages 7 and 8 in your booklet.

8 Viruses Place the “Lyctic Infection Cards” on the correct description of the “Lyctic Infection Cycle”. Analyze the differences and similarities of the bacteriophage and the flu virus and make sure you can ID both. Use the picture of cells and viruses to help you fill out the Venn Diagram. Answer questions on page 9 in your booklet. Reproduction Structure Viral Disease

9 Evolution Place the “Horse Evolution Cards” in the correct place on the “Horse Evolution Sheet”. Place the “DNA Sequence cards” on the correct place on the “DNA Sequence Cladogram”. Which ocean animals share analogous structures? Why are they not closer (more related) on the cladogram? Put the “Whale Skeleton Cards” in chronological (time) order. What do the fossil remains of earlier whales indicate about their habitats? Did the ancestors of whale live in oceans? Answer the questions on page 13 and 21 in your booklet. Mix up the cards and put them back into the baggies. Games!!!
