1 My reading history By Mrs. Ashton

2 Early reader books There were three series of books that were my favorite as a young child. My very favorite were the “frog and Toad” books. I liked how the two characters had different personalities but they were good friends for each other. There was also always a surprise or something funny in each story.

3 Early reader books Another favorite book was “The adventures of
Mole and Troll.” These books had conflicts and scary moments (for little kids). The funniest books were the “amelia bedelia” books. They were an introduction to humor through Word play, homophones, and multiple-meaning Words.

4 Chapter books I don’t remember the first chapter books I read
but I do remember really liking funny books like “superfudge” by Judy Blume. I think I also started reading “the three investigators” books when I was in elementary school. My older brother read them so I wanted to as well. I thought they were quite exciting. I enjoyed reading in elementary school but I didn’t read a lot. I preferred playing outside or playing board games.

5 Junior high Junior high was when I really started to like reading more
Because the books got more serious and exciting. I also liked Reading about romance for the first time. My very favorite books were the “Anne of green gables” series. I loved that she was smart and spunky and got into trouble, But in her heart she really cared about others.

6 Junior high Junior high is when I started reading fantasy and
science Fiction books. I loved “the black cauldron” series by Lloyd Alexander because it was such an exciting adventure plus it has humor. I also liked “the chronicles of Narnia” series because of the Message of the story.

7 Junior high But my very favorite books was “ender’s game”
by orson Scott card. It was the first book I read where I was really Surprised by the twist at the end.

8 High school In high school, I mostly read what I was assigned to read because that is all I had time for. Sometimes I loved a book we read in class so I would read more by the author, For example, “The chosen” by chaim potok. I also read more books by orson scott card and L.M. Montgomery.

9 High school Some books we read in English I did not like, and sometimes I didn’t even finish them. For example, “the odyssey,” (too long), and Dante’s “the inferno,” (too weird and boring). Other books I loved. One was “to kill a mockingbird.” I think Atticus finch is such a noble character. I also read what would become by all-time favorite book for The first time when I was a senior, “Pride and Prejudice” by Jane austen. I loved the romance but I didn’t understand all the humor Until I read it again in college.

10 What I am reading now I am going to skip ahead to what I am reading now. My favorite new author is cat winters. Her books have historical settings (the early 1900s). The main characters are young women with amazing, strong personalities. All of her books are also about The paranormal and they are very spooky. The author Cat Winters What I found when I searched for cat winters pictures
