3 Attendance Students come into the classroom at 7:45 a.m. for registration. ‘We are not late at quarter to eight’ is our motto!. Class teacher takes the students down for assembly starts at 7:50 a.m. Any students arriving after 7:50 a.m. will be marked late. Monthly reports to the Principal track attendance and lateness. It is important that your child joins us on time as we often give out important information at the beginning of the day.

4 Healthy Snack Break Everyday – 9:05 – 9:15 Please do not send:
Please provide your child with a healthy snack that can be easily finished in 10 minutes. Chopped up fruits and vegetables give a good start to the day. Water bottles Fizzy drinks Chocolates Crisps Candy Fries Burgers Nuggets Chocolate sandwiches

5 Reading - guided reading, individual reading, and comprehension.
Writing – Write Source : narrative, expository, descriptive and persuasive. Creative writing folders. Spelling and grammar to support writing. Core Curriculum Literacy: Reading Writing Speaking Listening Mathematics: Abacus Science: Scott Foresman Arabic Social Studies Arabic and Islamic

School Phone School Website Homework Dairy E- mail Due to teaching commitments, teachers are unable to meet with parents during school hours. Please call the administration and book an after school appointment if you feel you need to see us.

8 Important! It is very important that we have up to date contact details including parents’ mobile numbers. Please complete and send in the form that will be sent home shortly.

9 Home work Diaries 1 subject daily 15 – 30 minutes of reading daily
Sign the diary daily Homework MUST be handed in the following day. A record is kept in class.

10 Assessment Continual assessment of children is built into the planning and takes place throughout the year. There are end of unit tests for Science and Mathematics. Big Write once a week. Term Reports are given out at the end of each term. They show your child’s effort and attainment levels.

11 Coming to School Proper school uniform – black shoes.
P.E uniform on P.E days – sneakers. Swimming gear for swimming days. Lunch box including a healthy snack. Water bottles – avoid too many sweetened drinks. Small school bags. Clearly labeled uniform, stationery, and books. Pencil cases with enough supplies for the day.
