It is very important that children are on time as important information is often given out at the start of the day and homework diaries are completed.

4 Healthy Snack Break and Lunch We have introduced a healthy snack break. This will take place at 9.05 – 9.15am. As this is a short break, appropriate healthy snacks to send to school are pieces of fruit or a selection of raw vegetables (carrots, cucumber etc). After break time, it will be lunch time. Children have 20 minutes to eat lunch, and again the lunch provided should be healthy and the drink should be water or a carton of juice. Children should bring a water bottle that they can use in the classroom and also to take outside for break time and PE.

Teachers are available to speak to parents informally at the end of the school day during pick up time.

8 Homework Planners Children have now received their homework planners. They will write their homework in their planner at the start of each day. Homework will consist of one subject activity plus 15 minutes of reading. Parents should check that their child has completed their homework and 15 minutes reading (ideally listen to them) and then sign the diary. Homework MUST be handed in the following day – a record is kept.
