1 Making a Quiz – using graphics

2 Click on Quiz Give it a Name and Description (optional)

3 Below this are the Setting

4 Timing You can say when the quiz opens, closes, time limit, what to do when the time expires, and even add a grace period.

5 Grade You can allow multiple attempts or just one, and then give the grading method.

6 Layout and Behavior You can maintain the order of questions or randomly shuffle. You control how many questions per page. You can shuffle multiple choice answers, and decide when to give feedback if any.

7 Restrict Access You can post the quiz but restrict access as you choose.

8 Activity Completion You regulate how the activity is marked as completed. This applies to everything you post. In this way you can know, for example, how much material is read.

9 When you have finished…
Press You have merely created the quiz “container.” It is not yet populated with questions. This is our next step. Click on the quiz. Then click This is where you will see your current test bank. This is where you can create new questions. This is where you set great weights. This is where you decide on quiz pagination. A lot goes on here.

11 Press You see this menu… Many choices!
We’ll make a multiple choice question. Press “Next.”

13 Now for the Multiple Choices
For each choice you must place a value. Up to 8 choices. For each choice you must give a grade. (Usually 100% or None) Giving feedback is an option.

14 We complete the choices and then …
Press save changes. We’ve selected our Q7. Now we’ll “Add to quiz.”

15 Let’s preview the quiz.

16 Select the answer. Press Next.
Now “Submit all and finish.”

18 Make another question with a graphic.

19 The steps are… Edit Quiz Create a new question
Give the question a name. Now for the question text, we select the “graphic” button. This shows the screen. Find the image on your computer and upload it. Press Insert.

20 We see… Don’t forget to save the grade for this question.

21 Now put in the distractors
Save the question. Insert the question into the quiz and preview.

Many features of quizzes are left out. How the graphics are made is important, because it can be time-consuming. It is important to check the quiz carefully before you deploy it.
