3. Casein (Protein in milk)
Casein, pronounced 'Kay-seen' is the protein in the milk.
Casein is a plastic invented in 1899.
Casein is from the Latin word meaning 'Cheese.'
It is made through a similar process to cheese making in which the acid (the vinegar) is added to milk and causes the casein in the milk to unfold and re-organize into a long chain molecule plastic (polymerization).
