Basic Words: antiseptic An antiseptic will kill the germs in a cut. adhesive Stick on the bandage with adhesive tape. administer Who can administer first aid to the injured? absorb This sponge can absorb a lot of water. adequate The campers had an adequate supply of food. adept She is quite adept at public speaking. abnormal Snow is abnormal in warm climates. postpone Let’s postpone the game until the rain stops. admission The admission to the theme park is expensive! postscript Put a postscript at the end of your letter. adviser My adviser urged me to take this math course. administration All managers must be good at administration abuse The ruler was overthrown for abuse of power. absolve The judge will absolve him and set him free. absolute Witnesses promise to tell the absolute truth. antonym List an antonym for each spelling word. adjustment A simple adjustment will fix the printer. antifreeze A car needs antifreeze in cold weather. postgraduate Sam took a post graduate class after college. postdate I had to postdate the check for the next day.
