Materials Needed Binders or Sections in A Binder:
Math Language Science Social Studies Health Each subject’s section within the binder should contain unit dividers

Materials Needed Duotang for Vocabulary Word Bank (will be provided)
Loose leaf paper for all subject binders/sections (notebooks & paper ripped out of a notebook are unacceptable) Blue or black pen Red pen (for underlining) Ruler Correct tape/whiteout

What Your Binder/Work Must Look Like
Notes must be written in blue/black ink on lined paper Write your name on the line on the top left of your page Write the date on the line on the top right Write the title/topic heading for that day’s lesson/ assignment centered, one line down from your name and the date Underline your name once with red pen, the date once with red pen, and double-underline the title/topic heading Use a ruler when a straight line is needed Table of Contents must be up-to-date Notes/Handouts are placed in the correct order as taught in class

Math: All notes in blue or black pen All work in pencil Language: All notes and work in blue or black pen Science: All diagrams in pencil

Social Studies: All notes in blue or black pen All diagrams in pencil Health: All notes and work in blue or black pen You will use a table of contents sheet for each subject to keep track of your notes Will check once in a while to make sure you are on track with your learning and organization skills

Geography & Science Diagrams
At least ½ of the page In pencil only (may add colour if appropriate) Must have a title A ruler must be used Label lines: Use a ruler Do not write on label lines Avoid crossing label lines

Vocabulary Word Bank Fill your vocabulary word bank with at least 26 sheets of loose leaf paper (one for each letter of the alphabet) Label each letter on its own page Vocabulary word bank must be used every time you come across a word you don’t know (spelling, meaning, etc.) Use a dictionary to look up the word and add it to your word bank under the correct letter
