Best practices Passwords IDs and Registration of devices with WUPD (police.wustl.edu, or from any campus landline) Best practices: Don’t share passwords, don’t write it down or send it via unencrypted channels Password: Minimum eight characters, one or more upper case letters, one or more lowercase letters, one or more numbers, one or more special characters

WUSTL Key What is your WUSTL Key/Password? WUSTL key password
Secret Questions WUSTL Key Password… Your WUSTL key id and its password secure your access to the university’s system of record like Webstac. Your , Wifi, and many other systems are tied to this id and password, as well. The WUSTL key password must contain a minimum of 8 characters and must meet at least two of the following standards of complexity: —One or more lower case letters --One or more upper case letters --One or more numbers --One or more of these special characters Screenshot from The university will never ever ask you for your WUSTL key password. How to connect: Connect to any WUSTL Internet network (WUSTL 2.0, WUSTL guest, etc) Open a web browser and navigate to any webpage The computer will pull up a log-in screen where you can enter your WUSTL Key and password Close and restart your browser and you’re done! You only need to do this one time per device
